Hello World

The obligatory first post - setting up a dev blog (again)

console.log(“Hello, world! 👋”);

Right, so. Here it is - the Hello World post. The classic. The ritual. You can’t start a dev blog without one, apparently.

I’ve been threatening to start writing for years and I’ve finally done it (again…). This blog’s my space to ramble about dev stuff, mistakes I’ve made (there have been, and will be, many more), things I’ve learned the hard way and other nonsense from the world of software.

What to Expect

No grand promises. But you might see posts about:

  • Silly bugs that cost me hours and my remaining dignity
  • Adventures in debugging with console.log() (because yes, I still use it)
  • Things I’ve built, broken, and learned from
  • Programming oddities that made me go “what”
  • Occasional opinions on tech, career, and maybe soft skills

It’s all loosely techy, mostly honest and probably a bit sweary if I forget to edit.

Why This Exists

Because writing helps me think. And because dev life isn’t just about frameworks and feature flags - it’s also about daft mistakes, happy accidents, and the occasional “ohhhh, that’s why it works” moment.

If any of this resonates with you, cool. If not, that’s fine too. I’m mostly doing this for myself - but if someone else gets a laugh or learns something, even better.

Thanks for stopping by. Let’s see where this thing goes.
